PERFORMANCE
Before returning to academia, I worked for ten years as an actor in regional and independent theatres, and still perform today. I am a founding member of the New York Neo-Futurists, an award-winning ensemble of writer-performers who have been producing work in New York City since 2004 (the company received New York Independent Theatre Awards for performance art in 2006, 2011, and 2017, and were nominated for Drama Desk awards in 2011 and 2014). I'm also a member of Actors Equity working locally in Buffalo, New York--most recently at the Kavinoky Theatre, where I performed as Heidi Schreck in her Pulitzer finalist play, What The Constitution Means to Me.
You can see some video samples of my performance work here.
